Tuna and tomato gnocchi

Taste the mediterranean with this simple and fresh tuna gnocchi dish.


Serves 4

Approx 15 minutes


1 small red onion, chopped

2 cloves of garlic, crushed

1.5 cups of chopped tomatoes

1 tin of tuna

1 tbsp of capers

Small handful of basil

4 cups of gnocchi


In a small saucepan, heat a little olive oil and gently fry the onion for 5 minutes with a pinch of salt. Add the garlic for one more minute then add the chopped tomatoes. Add the tuna, capers and basil and remove from the heat. Taste and season with salt and pepper as required.


Cook the gnocchi according to the manufacturers instructions. Drain and stir through the sauce before serving.
